<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing that improves an exfoliation resistance property of a DLC film formed on an inner ring raceway surface, an outer ring raceway surface, a retainer sliding face or the like of the rolling bearing, has superior seizing resistance property, a friction resistance property and a corrosion resistance property by exhibiting original characteristics of the DLC film, and can prevent damage resulting from metal contact between bearing members. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 1 comprises; an inner ring 2 having the inner ring raceway surface 2a at its external periphery; an outer ring 3 having the outer ring raceway surface 3a at its internal periphery; and a plurality of rolling bodies 4 rolling between the inner ring raceway surface 2a and the outer ring raceway surface 3a. Hard films 8 are formed on the inner ring raceway surface 2a and the outer ring raceway surface 3a which are curved faces, the hard films 8 are formed of a first mixture layer having a gradient composition with Cr and WC as main components, a second mixture layer having a gradient composition and formed on the first mixture layer with WC and DLC as main components, and a surface layer formed on the second mixture layer with DLC as a main component.
