<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which easily resolves failure of a user terminal via a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: In a support system comprising a server and a portable terminal interconnected via a communication line, the server transmits a diagnostic application for performing diagnostic processing of a user terminal to the portable terminal, receives a diagnostic result by the diagnostic application from the portable terminal, extracts processing procedures for correction corresponding to the diagnostic result received from the portable terminal from a correction procedure storage unit, generates a correction application for executing the processing procedures for correction, and transmits the correction application to the portable terminal. The portable terminal receives the diagnostic application from the server, provides the diagnostic application to the user terminal via a connection control unit for the user terminal, acquires a result of execution of the diagnostic application in the user terminal as the diagnostic result, transmits the diagnostic result to the server, receives the correction application from the server, and provides the correction application to the user terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
