<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device, a control method therefor and a program capable of improving operability with the use of pressure sensors. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal device 100 includes: first and second pressure sensors 25A, 25B arranged on two opposing side surfaces 24A, 24B of a lower housing 20; and a CPU for calculating a difference value of pressures respectively applied to the first and second pressure sensors 25A, 25B, and controlling the state of the portable terminal device 100 on the basis of the difference value. The CPU determines a scroll direction on a liquid crystal display (LCD) 11 arranged on the front surface of a housing on the basis of the positive and negative of a difference value, and controlling a scroll speed on the basis of the largeness of the difference value. The CPU controls the selection of fast-forwarding or fast-rewinding reproduction and the speed of fast-forwarding or fast-rewinding concerning sound data or moving image data to be output by the portable terminal device 100 on the basis of the positive and negative and largeness of the difference value, and also controls the volume of the sound data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
