<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing uneven glossiness of a fixed image when using color toner whose glossiness after fixation is different, and transparent toner to adjust the glossiness of the image. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises color image forming means, transparent image forming means, and fixing means. The image forming apparatus uses as color toner a first and a second color toner whose glossiness after fixation is different for a predetermined toner applied amount, and can execute a predetermined image forming mode for performing a fixation after overlapping on a recording material a color toner image formed with the color toner and a transparent toner image formed with transparent toner whose applied amount is adjusted according to a toner applied amount of the color toner image. In the predetermined image forming mode, the image forming apparatus is constituted to include adjusting means for adjusting the toner applied amount of the transparent toner image overlapped on the color toner image within a certain area according to a ratio of the first color toner in the color toner image within the certain area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
