A wireless communication system comprises a plurality of radio base stations and a plurality of mobile communication terminals. Each of the mobile communication terminals measures a reception quality of radio wave from each of the radio base stations. A first mobile communication terminal, which is capable of executing interference rejection combining, uses a first bias value to correct a reception quality value of radio wave from a second radio base station. A second mobile communication terminal, which is not capable of executing the interference rejection combining, uses a second bias value, which is lower than the first bias value, to correct a reception quality value of radio wave from the second radio base station. A first radio base station selects, as wireless connection destination of a mobile communication terminal, a radio base station corresponding to a reception quality value indicating the best reception quality among the first reception power values and the second reception power values as corrected.
