The combination structure comprises a sheet metal portion (2) having a plastic layer (3). A hybrid device (1) is thermally and/or mechanically connected with the sheet metal portion at a joint. The joints of the hybrid device are formed by projections (4) at the sheet metal portion. The plastic layer is recessed in the joints of the hybrid device so that the projections at the sheet metal portion are enabled to contact with the hybrid device. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing component combination structure.
