<p>#CMT# #/CMT# A microporous membrane (16) permeable for gases, where the participating substances do not exhibit appreciable solubility, is provided. Single/multiple substances and thermal energy are exchanged between two fluids (15) at same time and both the temperature and composition of first fluid are selectively adjusted. The composition of second fluid is adjusted as that of first fluid, by receiving/delivering suitable amount of substances through membrane. Both fluids are not in direct or immediate contact with each other, and during replacement of membrane, no heat is removed from outside. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for adjusting concentration and temperature of two or more substances contained in gases or fluids, by a membrane exchange apparatus. Uses include but are not limited to treatment of gases, foodstuffs, or ventilation of rooms, cooling, partial condensation, and mass transfer in direct contact with washing fluids, reheating, metering of steam, etc. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The number of process steps required for setting the temperature and composition of fluids can be reduced, and cross-contamination of the fluids can be prevented by the use of membrane.
