<p>Provided is an electricity storage device in which a balancing process for eliminating or reducing the battery characteristic variation between batteries constituting an assembled battery can be efficiently performed. The electricity storage device comprises: an assembled battery formed by connecting a plurality of chargeable and dischargeable batteries; a discharging unit for discharging each of the batteries constituting the assembled battery; and a control unit for controlling the discharging unit. The control unit controls the discharging unit to perform a balancing process for reducing the battery characteristic variation between the batteries constituting the assembled battery to within a predetermined range. The balancing process is divided into a plurality of times of processes and performed at time intervals.</p> |
