<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is not possible to perform a settlement of a credit card securing high confidentiality with a simple hardware configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A settlement system comprises: a first terminal; a second terminal; and a data center. The first terminal acquires credit card information including a credit card identifier, acquires unique information, encrypts information by using a first terminal identifier, the credit card information and the unique information to constitute encrypted first terminal information, and transmits the first terminal information including the first terminal identifier and the credit card information to the second terminal. The second terminal receives the first terminal information, and transmits second terminal information including a second terminal identifier and the first terminal information to the data center. The data center comprises a center transmission unit which receives the second terminal information and transmits settlement information to a settlement server.
