<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyance body capable of preventing the increase of adhesion between an endless belt and a cleaning blade. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt unit 50 comprises an intermediate transfer belt 51 and a cleaning blade 210. The cleaning blade 210 removes toner left on a surface of the intermediate transfer belt 51 which is processed to a smooth surface state. The intermediate transfer belt 51 comprises a first area 220 and a second area 230. The first area 220 is an area outside an area which a sheet with an available maximum width passes, and with which the cleaning blade 210 contacts. The second area 230 is an area outside the first area 220.
