Provided are a material for a positive hole injection transport layer, and a production method therefor, whereby it is possible to form the positive hole injection transport layer by a solution application process, and to improve the life of a device; an ink for positive hole injection transport layer, and a production method therefor, whereby it is possible to form the positive hole injection transport layer by a solution application process, and to improve the life of a device; and a device having long life, and a production method therefor. The material for a positive hole injection transport layer is the reaction product of a molybdenum complex and a compound represented by the following chemical formula (1).
