The adjusting device has an electric motor, which is locked by a blocking unit in a defined position after switching off the electric motor. The blocking unit comprises an electromagnet (26), which is operatively connected with a latching disk (16) made of metal by a locking contour (22) in an impact area (20) by a retaining pin element (14). The latching disk has a damping layer (18) directed to the blocking unit in the impact area. The damping layer has damping contours (24), which are arranged at a distance (x) corresponding to the locking contour.
