IMAGE ACQUISITION DEVICE, IMAGE ACQUISITION METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and efficiency for a user, and acquire a z stack without missing of photographs of an observation object while reducing the number of z stack images.

SOLUTION: An image acquisition device includes: an optical system that includes an objective lens for enlarging a region of an imaging object; an imaging element that is capable of all-pixel simultaneous exposure for forming an image of the region enlarged by the optical system; a movement control unit that moves a focal point of the objective lens in the thickness direction of the region of the imaging object; and a multiple exposure processing unit that subjects the imaging element to multiple exposure at a plurality of positions for every range divided by positions in a direction in which the focal point can be moved so as to acquire an average image covering the range.
