摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: a conventional electric vehicle to be charged through a plug is lifted by a lift to be placed adjacent to a parking space by taking up a lead wire, moved onto a lateral tray and housed together with a concentrator, and is then charged, however, the concentrator includes a long wound lead wire and is heavy, a carriage rail is required between the parking space and a lifting space, and a plurality of wheels passing through a gap between the parking space and the lifting space are required, resulting in increase in the size and cost, while requiring a space for installation. <P>SOLUTION: The charging device 21 includes: a plug 11 for connecting to an electric vehicle C to enable charging; a lead wire 10 for supplying power to the plug 11; a pantograph 12 that horizontally expands and contracts the lead wire 10; and an extended take-up drum 9. The electric vehicle C is moved in/out by attaching/detaching the plug 11 in a standby space S, expanding/contracting the pantograph 12, and rotating the take-up drum 9.
