<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target management device for highly accurately estimating a section having a probability that a target is present, and a target management method. <P>SOLUTION: The target management device includes: a mesh management section that divides a monitoring object range into meshes consisting of prescribed sections and manages them; a target estimating section that determines a mesh in which a target is present, by using detection information having information on the detected target and estimates a target present mesh in which the target is present according to a time course; an identification determining section that determines whether or not the target is identical with a target included in the newly input detected information and updates the target present mesh; and a reflecting section that, when receiving negative information indicating a section where no target is present, reflects the mesh without any corresponding target in the section to the target present mesh and updates the reflected target present mesh. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
