<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit in which the deterioration of optical performance can be suppressed, and also in which the occurrence of dust can be prevented, and an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The lens unit includes: an optical system; and a lens barrel in which the optical system is housed while being fitted to the lens barrel.
