PURPOSE: A device for processing a groove in a cast-iron pipe is provided to manually transfer the cast-iron pipe arranged in a carrier roller to correct the processing position using a crane and to prevent the position of the cast-iron pipe from varying when processing the groove. CONSTITUTION: A device for processing a groove in a cast-iron pipe comprises a plurality of bogies(D1,D2,D3,D4) which is arranged at a pair of rails(R1,R2). A wheel driving unit(20) is mounted on each bogie and each bogie independently moves along the rail by own wheel driving unit. A pair of idling rollers(30) is mounted on the bogie. If a machine tool(60) is arranged at the side of the first bogie and the cast-iron pipe is settled on the idling roller, a holder body(62) of the machine tool is lifted from a main body(61) and the drawing length of a holder arm(63) is controlled. A groove for mounting a flange is processed on the outer circumference of the end portion of the cast-iron pipe.
