<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation body which is very light compared with natural soil, has air permeability not deteriorated by compacting since ground and most densely packed upon watering and movement, and is excellent in water retentivity and air permeability. <P>SOLUTION: The plant cultivation body is formed of aggregates that contain (a) a porous fine powder having an open-cell structure in which a volume water content per 100 mL of the porous fine powder as a water capacity in a range of pF 1.7-2.3 is 20-50 mL/100 mL, and (b) an organic or inorganic binder, and has a particle size of 0.25-5 mm, a volume moisture content of 12-25 mL/100 mL per 100 mL of the plant cultivation body as the water capacity in a range of pF 1.7-2.3, and a gaseous phase ratio of 40-80% at pF 1.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
