<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of coordinate determination in a touch-type input device using a large-size sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A peak detection unit 16 identifies a sensor electrode the capacitance value of which becomes maximum on the basis of a plurality of capacitance values C<SB POS="POST">1,1</SB>-C<SB POS="POST">M,N</SB>representing respective electrostatic capacitances of a plurality of sensor electrodes SE, and generates peak data PEAK representing the identified sensor electrode. With respect to the sensor electrode represented by the peak data PEAK and a sensor electrode of (k-1) (k is a natural number of 2 or more) sensor electrodes selected in order from the closest to the sensor electrode represented by the peak data PEAK, when capacitance value data of i-th (1≤i≤k) sensor electrode is defined as C<SB POS="POST">i</SB>, an X coordinate of the i-th sensor electrode is defined as X<SB POS="POST">i</SB>, and a Y coordinate of the i-th sensor electrode is defined as Y<SB POS="POST">i</SB>, an arithmetic processing unit 18 calculates the X coordinate and the Y coordinate where a user has touched by the following expressions (1a) and (1b): (1a) x=Σ<SB POS="POST">i=1-k</SB>(C<SB POS="POST">i</SB>×X<SB POS="POST">i</SB>)/Σ<SB POS="POST">i=1-k</SB>C<SB POS="POST">i</SB>, and (1b) y=Σ<SB POS="POST">i=1-k</SB>(C<SB POS="POST">i</SB>×Y<SB POS="POST">i</SB>)/Σ<SB POS="POST">i=1-k</SB>C<SB POS="POST">i</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
