PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device that maintains an information processor on the basis of a setting value of the information processor such as an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: A maintenance device includes: a reading unit that reads setting information from an information processor; a communication unit that obtains statistical information relating to the setting information from an external device via a network; and a processing unit that compares the setting information and the statistic information, and evaluates the setting information on the basis of the comparison result.
