<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data processing method for performing parallel processing to a PDL conversion process, an image forming process, or the like by using a plurality of CPUs or a multi-core (multiple core) CPU having a plurality of cores inside one CPU, and by making the process a multi-threaded configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In this print data processing method, a print data processor operating on a host device having a plurality of processing means performs: a conversion process for converting print data into a PDL command; a command storage process for sequentially storing the converted PDL command in a command storage section; an image data generation process for reading the PDL command from command storage means, and generating image data; an image storage process for storing the image data generated by the image data generation processing in an image storage section to be stored with the image data; and a transmission process for reading the image data from the image storage section, and transmitting the data to printing means.
