<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce memory capacity regarding an image processor such as an image forming apparatus (a digital composite machine, a digital copying machine, a facsimile apparatus, a page printer, etc.), an image reader (a scanner apparatus etc.), a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: An RGB band image reader 4 reads band images in line units from a main memory 1. A color conversion processor 8 reads parameters stored in a common parameter storage device 11, from the main memory 1 via a selector 10, and performs image processing to the band images from the RGB band image reader 4 using the parameters. A CMYK band image writer 5 writes the band images after image-processed into the main memory 1. A CMYK band image reader 6 reads image data after image-processed, in line units. A halftone processor 9 reads the parameters stored in the common parameter storage device 11, from the main memory 1 via the selector 10, and performs image processing to the band images from the CMYK band image reader 6 using the parameters.
