<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time required for formation of a latent image based on an image signal to a pixel electrode. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a latent image forming means 4 that forms the latent image of 3 units of the pixel electrode on an image holder 1. The latent image forming means 4 includes: a signal generation means 5 that generates a designation signal that specifies the processing order in the latent image formation in the rotating direction of the image holder 1 to the pixel electrodes 3 group lines up in the row direction of the image holder 1 and a latent image formation signal based on the image signal; a switch 6 corresponding to a designation line Lg of which designation target is the pixel electrodes 3 group, a signal line Ls that supplies the latent image forming signal, and each pixel electrode 3, performs switch operation based on the designation signal and the latent image forming signal, while being connected to the designation line Lg and the signal line Ls, and has a photoelectric conversion part 7 in the energizing path concerned with the switching operation; and a light irradiation means 9 for applying light on the photoelectric conversion part 7 of the switch 6 group corresponding to the pixcel electrode 3 group that is the processing target when or before the latent image forming processing to the pixcel electrode 3 group, and shortens the switch operation time to the switch 6 when the latent image formation processing time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
