<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of accelerating reactivation of a lamp, and performing control for suppressing damage on an electrode in accordance with deterioration of a lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A projector has a configuration in which a temperature corresponding to a temperature within a lamp is detected by a thermometer 1; a lamp lighting operation is performed if a detected temperature is equal to or lower than an upper limit temperature at which a lamp can be lighted; a lamp upper limit temperature is corrected to a temperature at which the lamp is lighted when lighting failure occurs as the lamp is deteriorated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
