<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin-walled spheroidal graphite cast iron casting having a wall thickness of 3.0 mm or less and a chill-free structure as cast without using a casting method which needs a special apparatus and a process and without using a special additive such as RE and Bi. <P>SOLUTION: When a spheroidal graphite cast iron casting is produced as cast, a molten metal containing, by mass, 0.013-0.030% of Mg, 1.8-3.3% of Cu, and 0.01-0.05% of Sn is used, and the number of graphite particles each having a particle diameter of 2.5 μm or more is set to be 1,300 pieces/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>in a portion where the wall thickness is 3.0 mm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
