<p>The method involves implementing new functions (32, 34, 36) in a control device part. The control device part and a rapid-prototyping system part are connected over logical interfaces i.e. external bypass interfaces, for exchange of signals between the functions. The interfaces are produced by consideration by signals, which are selected from operating parameters e.g. measured variables and adjustable variables, of a control device (30). Definition of the interfaces for the control device part and the rapid-prototyping system part is performed in a configuration step. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for combining functions of a control device.</p> |
