<p>The method involves dividing composite of several series-connected battery cells or parallel groups of cells into appropriate modules, for the purpose of equalizing the charging state of old cells during charging process. A switching matrix (5) is provided with selector switches (5a-5c) that are directly connected to battery cells (6a-6c) through transducer unit (1) comprising direct current to direct current (DC-DC) converter (2). The required switching matrix is realized by an electronic switch arrangement by microcontroller. An independent claim is included for a device for loading and unloading individual cells of battery system.</p> |
