<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether an abrasion is caused in a component of a rotary machine by analyzing an operation sound generated in operation of the rotary machine in consideration of a specific frequency component included in the operation sound. <P>SOLUTION: In a component abrasion detection method for a rotary machine, an operation sound of the rotary machine is collected and recorded as operation sound data, the recorded operation sound data is converted in frequency characteristic data of the operation sound data, and characteristic frequency component which is a frequency component equivalent to a multiple of a fundamental frequency, or a frequency corresponding to a rotation circle of the rotary machine and which is a frequency at which an abnormal noise, being included in the operation sound, occurs in relation with generation of an abrasion of the component of the rotary machine is detected over time from the frequency characteristic data. The extracted characteristic frequency component data and characteristic frequency component data extracted at the first stage are compared in consideration of a frequency component existing between a fundamental frequency of the characteristic frequency and a maximum frequency of the characteristic frequency included in both the pieces of data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
