摘要 The cell (2) has an electrode (4) in communication with a process gas supply, and another electrode (6) in electrical communication with a storage medium (8). A sheet-type solid electrolyte (10) is arranged between two electrodes. An electrical component (12) i.e. varistor or zener diode, interconnects the two electrodes whose electrical resistance is decreased with increasing voltage (V). The electrical component is arranged on an edge portion (14) of the sheet-type solid electrolyte, and drain current flows through the electrical component. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an electrical energy store cell.
