The stationary internet router (1) has a receiving shaft (3) for accommodating a subscriber identity module (SIM) card (2), where a power jack (7) is provided for connecting a power cable (4). The operating power supply of the internet router is exclusively ensured by the power jack, where possibility of removal of the SIM card from the card receptacle is indirectly hindered by the power cable when the power cable is connected to the power jack. The card receptacle and the power jack are arranged such that removal of the SIM card is hindered when power cable is connected to the power jack. An independent claim is included for a router configuration.
