PURPOSE: A mobile terminal, a control method, and a recording medium are provided to efficiently perform NFC(Near Field Communication) with an external object. CONSTITUTION: An NFC module(114) performs NFC with an external object. A sensing unit(140) senses an event for activating the NFC module. When the event is sensed through the sensing unit, a control unit(180) activates the NFC module. The control unit generates an RF(Radio Frequency) field for the NFC with the external object. The control unit receives a response message through the NFC module from the external object in response to the RF field.
