PURPOSE: A mobile terminal, a rooting determination method of the mobile terminal, a device thereof, and a recording medium thereof are provided to recommend right use of the terminal, thereby preventing malfunction of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(170) transmits and receives information to an external device. A memory unit(160) stores the information. A control unit(180) generates reference information and stores the same in the memory unit. When a rooting determination device is connected through the interface unit, the control unit transmits the reference information and current state information to the rooting determination device. The control unit generates a flag when the reference information is generated and determines generation of the reference information corresponding to existence of the flag.
