<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus in which positional deviation of a driving roller is prevented by maintaining force of press-contact of a driven roller with the driving roller even if the force of press-contact is weakened. <P>SOLUTION: The conveying apparatus includes: a first conveying roller 60 which is provided in a conveyance path 65 of recording paper 12, and rotates by application of driving force from a motor for conveyance; a pinch roller 61 which is provided to be opposed to the first conveying roller 60, and conveys the recording paper 12 through the conveyance path 65 while holding the recording paper 12 with the first conveying roller 60; a coil spring 91 which energizes the pinch roller 61 to the first conveying roller 60; a protrusion 162 which adjusts energizing force of the pinch roller 61 to the first conveying roller 60 by the coil spring 91; and an abutting mechanism 90 which has an abutting member 161 capable of abutting on the first conveying roller 60.
