<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth the expansion of an airbag 11 by suppressing deformation of an airbag case 8 by the development pressure of the airbag 11. <P>SOLUTION: A back plate 7 with a rigidity imparting part 28 is disposed to a rear side of the case 8 which accommodates the airbag 11 of an airbag module 5 to reduce the deformation of the case 8 toward a rear side in the event of airbag deployment. The back plate 7 is supported on a steering member or the case 8, and an upper part of the back plate 7 is held on a rear side support 19 protruding downward from the instrument panel 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
