The present invention relates to titanium dioxide nanoparticles in which a chloride ion is adsorbed on the surface thereof, and a preparation method thereof. More specifically, a chloride ion is adsorbed on the surface of titanium dioxide nanoparticles according to the present invention, thereby maintaining high dispersity in an organic solvent. Therefore, it is possible to prepare a photoelectrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with excellent transparency using the titanium dioxide nanoparticles of the present invention, and to make a DSSC with excellent transmittance and light utilization rate using the same.
