<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air battery high in initial capacity and good in charge/discharge cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In a coin type battery 20, a separator 24 is interposed between a negative electrode 22 comprising metallic lithium and a positive electrode 23 as an air electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte 27 is filled. The positive electrode 23 includes a carbon material, and a sealing plate 26 covering the positive electrode 23 is formed of a material allowing air to circulate. A carbon material included in the positive electrode 23 is obtained by mixing spherical or scale-like carbon powder and needle-like carbon, and the carbon material contains 1-80 mass% of the needle-like carbon and a remainder of spherical carbon powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
