PURPOSE: A stand type air conditioner is provided to reduce flow resistance and to rapidly suck air, thereby performing air-conditioning. CONSTITUTION: A stand type air conditioner comprises a base, an intake panel(6), a heat exchanger(8), a discharge panel(14), and a plurality of blowers(16, 18). The intake panel is installed on the top of the base, and includes an air inlet. The heat exchanger is installed on the front side of the air inlet. The discharge panel is installed on the front side of the intake panel, and includes an air outlet. The blowers are installed on the discharge panel. The base includes a strength reinforcement part which is protruded by being integrated with a lower plate unit and an upper plate unit.
