<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a PWM output width in minute units accurately. <P>SOLUTION: Dead time insertion into positive-phase and opposite-phase PWM signals is processed in the following way. When the output width of PWM signals is smaller than a reference period which is set larger than a prescribed dead time period, a clear signal is output; or when it is larger, a set signal is output. When the set signal is output, the PWM signals are output as corrected PWM signals. When the clear signal is output, the positive-phase PWM signal is corrected to make it inactive before the PWM signals are output as corrected PWM signals. A dead time insertion block inserts a dead time into the corrected PWM signals to ensure that the positive-phase and opposite-phase signals will not turn on at the same time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
