<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device capable of improving a degree of freedom in design thereby to make the camera device applicable to various purposes. <P>SOLUTION: A camera device 10 is configured by the removable connection of multiple modules selected so as to include at least an imaging module 20 and an external communication module 40 among three or more modules having different functions including the imaging module 20 for capturing the image of a subject and acquiring image data and the external communication module 40 for performing communication with an external apparatus.
