<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic composition for a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor which is formed by adding thereto a minimally small amount of semiconductor-forming element, which shows a small change with passage of time, and in which a PTC characteristic is satisfactory in a level of practical use, and to provide a PTC thermistor. <P>SOLUTION: This ceramic composition for a PTC thermistor has a composition formula shown by (Ba<SB POS="POST">1-x-y</SB>A1<SB POS="POST">x</SB>A2<SB POS="POST">y</SB>)Ti<SB POS="POST">z</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(wherein, A1 is one or two or more kinds of elements selected from La, Dy, Eu and Gd; A2 is one or two or more kinds of elements selected from Y, Ho, Er and Yb), and x, y and z each satisfies following inequalities: 0.0005≤x≤0.0045, 0.0005≤y≤0.0045, 1.00<z≤1.05 and x+y≤0.005. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
