<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique advantageous to improving sensitivity in a solid-state image pickup device having a configuration in which a plurality of pixels are assigned to each micro-lens. <P>SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup device including a semiconductor substrate having a first surface and a second surface which are opposite to each other, comprises: a pixel array having a plurality of pixel sets arranged; and a plurality of micro-lenses arranged so as to assign one of the micro-lenses to each of the pixel sets. Each of the pixel sets includes a plurality of pixels each of which includes a photoelectric conversion section and a wiring pattern forming a portion of a circuit in the concerned pixel. The photoelectric conversion section is formed in the semiconductor substrate, the wiring pattern is disposed on a side of the first surface of the semiconductor substrate, and the plurality of micro-lenses are disposed on a side of the second surface of the semiconductor substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
