The present invention provides a time-resolved single-photon or ultra-weak light multi-dimensional imaging system and method. In one aspect, to achieve coarse time resolution, the present invention provides a time-resolved single-photon counting two-dimensional imaging system, for forming color or gray images. In another aspect, to achieve high-precision time resolution, the multi-dimensional imaging system provided by the present invention is mainly formed by a light source, an imaging spectrum measuring unit, an electrical detection unit, a system control unit and an algorithm unit. Light carrying object information is imaged on a spatial light modulator and modulated at random according to compressive sensing theory; light emerging from the grating is collected using a single-photon detector or an array of single-photon detectors, and at the same time, the number of photons and the arrival time of photons are recorded. Reconstruction is performed using a compressive sensing algorithm and an imaging spectrum related algorithm. The present invention provides single-photon detection sensitivity, high space/time resolution and a wide spectrum range, and can be widely applied to various new high-tech industries such as single-cell biophysics and material defect inspection. |
