<p>In order to allow data collection during a selected cardiac phase while avoiding the prolonging of imaging time as much as possible even when an arrhythmia occurs, the X-ray computed tomography apparatus is characterized in being provided with an arrhythmia index-calculating unit (211) and a mode selection unit (212) in addition to an X-ray tube (101), a high voltage-generating unit (104), an X-ray detector (103) and a data-collecting unit (108). The arrhythmia index-calculating unit (211) calculates an arrhythmia index that represents the extent of an arrhythmia using the subject's bioinformation. The mode selection unit (212) selects a normal imaging mode or arrhythmia imaging mode in advance based on the arrhythmia index. In the normal imaging mode, after a prescribed delay period has elapsed from a characteristic wave of the subject's cardiac waveform, projection data is collected with the generation of X-rays and when an arrhythmia is detected, the X-rays are temporarily stopped. In the arrhythmia imaging mode, after a prescribed delay period has elapsed from a characteristic wave, projection data is collected with the generation of X-rays and when an arrhythmia is detected, an arrhythmia imaging procedure according to the type of arrhythmia is temporarily performed and projection data is collected with said X-ray generation.</p> |
