PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to minimize air flow resistance and to make the thickness of a centrifugal fan to be thin while reducing noise. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a base, an intake panel, a heat exchanger, a fan housing unit(50), an orifice(70), an upper centrifugal fan(80), and a lower centrifugal fan(90). The intake panel is installed on the top of the base and includes a rear air inlet. The heat exchanger is arranged in the front side of the rear air inlet. Left and right air outlets are formed respectively in the left and right sides of the fan housing unit. The rear and top surfaces of the fan housing unit are opened. The orifice is interposed between the fan housing unit and the heat exchanger. The upper centrifugal fan is arranged in the upper part of the fan housing unit to be rotatable. The lower centrifugal fan is arranged in the lower part of the fan housing unit to be rotatable. The fan housing unit includes a partition guide partitioning an upper flow passage of the upper centrifugal fan and a lower flow passage of the lower centrifugal fan. |
