Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of buffering programs. The method comprises the steps of displaying a first program from a first channel; buffering the first program; and in response to receiving a user request to tune to a second channel: displaying a second program from a second channel; and buffering the second program. The buffering of the first program and the buffering of the second program occurs in parallel.
