<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly carry out the adjusting operation of rotary phases. <P>SOLUTION: A printer body is driven by a driving motor, and a paper feeder is driven by a single motor (a driving motor 62 of a feeder). The rotary phase of the driving motor of the feeder relative to the rotary phase of the printer body is adjusted according to printing conditions such as the speed of the printer, the sheet size of paper, the paper thickness and the paper quality.
