摘要 The present invention relates to a miniaturised microscopy system for determining the condition of biological cells, said system having an optical image capturing unit with an optical sensor (6) and an optional illumination unit (20). The optical image capturing unit is enclosed by a water- and moisture-tight casing (8) that is formed by an optical transparent layer (5) over a sensor surface of the optical sensor (6) or at least one region of the sensor surface. The surface of the optically transparent layer (5) that faces away from the sensor surface is arranged at a distance from the sensor surface such that a shadow projection of cells lying upon the surface onto the sensor surface allows for an optical resolution which is determined by a pixel size of pixels of the optical sensor (6). The transmission of captured image data of cells that adhere to the optically transparent layer to an external receiver unit allows the microscopy system for determining the condition of cells to be used directly in a bioreactor.
