<p>A portable hub includes a fastening means by which a plurality of handheld remote control devices 12 are fastened in position in relation to one another. Fastening means 14 may be releasable and comprise a clip, magnet, or micro-hook and loop means for fastening remote controls 12 on to a stand 16 comprising an upright cylinder having plural faces each having a fastening means. Each face may be outlined by luminous means such as a strip light 30 to facilitate placing a remote control on the face. The hub may include a battery compartment and a mains cord 361 for power consuming devices and charging means for the remote controls 12. The hub may be supported on a base 20 and have cushioning material 26 at the edges of its facets. Remote controls may be connected to the hub using a loose chord holding them captive to the stand and a pulley (fig 14, 140) which is sprung to retract the remote control devices.</p> |
