Disclosed is an hepatic dysfunction inhibitor, or a food, beverage or feed for inhibiting hepatic dysfunction, which comprises a peptide contained in a cheese and comprising an amino acid sequence depicted in any one of the formulae (1) to (28) as an active ingredient. The peptide has a hepatocellular damage-inhibitory activity, can exhibit hepatocellular damage-inhibitory effect at a low dose, and can be ingested on a daily basis.
