Battery block changing adapter and battery changing system

The adapter (22) has aligning units cooperating with each other and provided at the changing adapter and an industrial truck (12). The aligning units align the adapter in a predetermined position for battery change operation relative to the industrial truck. A coupling device couples the changing adapter with the industrial truck during the battery change operation. The coupling device is designed such that the coupling produces a base for the truck and is detachable during lowering of the adapter, where the base is supported during lifting of the adapter relative to a battery block (14). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a battery changing system (2) a method for inserting or removing a battery block into and from a battery changing system.
